A delegation of the BRICS Business Alliance held a working meeting with Russia's BRICS Sherpa, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pavel Knyazev. The discussion was constructive and forward-looking, reflecting the growing role of structured dialogue between the business community and public institutions within the BRICS framework.

The Alliance delegation included Evgeny Skomorovskiy, President of the Russian National Chapter; Dmitry Kuznetsov, Deputy of the State Duma of Russian Federation, Vice President for Humanitarian Cooperation; and Boris Tarasov, Secretary General of the Alliance's Global Council.
 
Representing the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs were Mikhail Malkov, First Deputy to Russia's BRICS Sherpa, and Mikhail Pontser, First Secretary of the BRICS Division of the Foreign Policy Planning Department.
 
The Alliance presented the results of its work in 2026, highlighting the development of its business agenda, the organization of entrepreneurs' summits, and plans to expand cooperation across BRICS. Particular attention was given to humanitarian initiatives. Presenting this area of work, State Duma Deputy Dmitry Kuznetsov emphasized the significance of the Alliance's projects across BRICS countries and their contribution to strengthening ties between member states.
 
Following the meeting, Pavel Knyazev, Russia's BRICS Sherpa, welcomed the Alliance's initiatives in both business development and humanitarian cooperation. He also shared practical recommendations that will help guide the Alliance's future activities.
 
Commenting on the meeting, State Duma Deputy Dmitry Kuznetsov said:
"An international organization should do more than generate new initiatives. It must also regularly assess whether its work remains aligned with the evolving BRICS agenda. Open and professional dialogue of this kind provides valuable guidance, helping ensure that our projects remain relevant, practical, and capable of delivering tangible impact."
The parties agreed to maintain regular working contact and continue exchanging views on key issues related to the Alliance's activities within the BRICS agenda.
